To enjoy a better UWB Auto Unlock experience, please keep the Xthings Home App running in the background.

Android Background Operation Explanation

Since Android currently does not have a background wake-up mechanism similar to Apple’s iBeacon, when the auto-unlock feature is enabled, the app will run continuously as a foreground service, which is why you may see a persistent system notification.

When you leave the configured home/location range, the app will automatically stop this foreground service and will not continuously consume system resources. You may also manually disable the foreground service if needed.

Delay in Unlocking After Approaching the Door Lock (~1 minute)

When the iPhone is in a locked or standby state, it will first establish a Bluetooth connection with the door lock and then activate precise UWB positioning in the background.

If you are still relatively far from the door lock at this time, the phone may not receive a valid UWB signal immediately. To save power, the iPhone may occasionally pause UWB operations.

As a result, even after you move closer to the door lock, the auto-unlock feature may not be triggered immediately.
